MARTA statement on SR400 Express Lanes Project

Please see statement below from MARTA on today’s announcement from GDOT on the selection of a contractor for the SR400 Express Lanes Project.

MARTA congratulates the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) on advancing the SR400 Express Lanes Project with the selection of SR400 Peach Partners, LLC. We look forward to continued partnership with GDOT, the State Road and Tollway Authority (SRTA), and the Atlanta-Region Transit Link Authority (ATL) in the construction of approximately 16 miles of bus rapid transit (BRT) lanes and stations on one of metro Atlanta’s busiest highways, reducing traffic congestion, improving connectivity to vital job centers, and paving the way for future transit-oriented development. Together we are expanding transit and supporting economic development throughout the region.
