MARTA ARTBOUND PRESENTS BLACK HISTORY MONTH PERFORMANCES

ATLANTA - The Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority (MARTA) public art program, Artbound, is proud to present performances this February to celebrate Black History Month.

On Thursday, Feb. 15 from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m., Artbound presents a performance of “Music from the Movement” by Kenny Leon’s True Colors Theatre Company at West End Station.

On Thursday, Feb. 29 from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m., MARTA will host a special Black History Month event at College Park Station featuring live performances, MARTA trivia, and giveaways, and the MARTA Market which offers locally grown produce. Also stop by and see Atlanta artist Raphael Bahindwa who will be live painting a piece celebrating Black history and culture!

MARTA has also created a Black History Month playlist curated with a selection of music honoring Black artists and culture. Listen here.
