I. Purpose

The MARTA Accessibility Committee (MAC) was established to assist MARTA by:   

  • Connecting MARTA and the diverse communities it serves to achieve a greater awareness of the transportation needs of seniors and persons with disabilities;
  • Developing and suggesting procedures to identify and correct potential accessibility deficiencies in facilities, programs, services and communications;
  • Advising MARTA on issues surrounding individuals with disabilities and seniors and recommending appropriate steps; and
  • Providing recommendations to improve access to MARTA programs and services.

III. 2024 MAC Meeting Schedule 

All MAC meetings are held at the MARTA Headquarters building at: 2424 Piedmont Road NE, Atlanta, GA 30324. The MAC meets the second Tuesday of every other month from 10:00 am to 11:30 am and subcommittees meet on the off month of the MAC meetings as needed. The Committee meetings listed below are open to the public. Sign language interpreters for the Deaf or hearing impaired are present for all meetings. If you require a reasonable accommodation, please contact MARTA no less than ten days in advance of the meeting date.
