Benefits Program

Our benefits program is available to full-time employees after 30 days of employment and to part-time employees after one year of employment. The program includes the following benefits:

Health Care Plans

Medical, Dental and Vision coverages are effective 31 days from your hire date.

Coverage levels: single, employee plus one dependent (spouse or child) and employee plus family (spouse and child(ren)). Dependent children may be covered up to age 26.

MARTA offers Anthem and Kaiser medical and prescription drug plans.

Health Maintenance Organization (HMO)

(Plan includes $15,000 Critical Illness insurance coverage for employee at no additional cost.)

Kaiser

Health Maintenance Organization (HMO) (Plan include Vision coverage and $15,000 Critical Illness insurance coverage for employee at no additional cost)

All plans have annual out-of-pocket limit that must be met before plan start paying at 100%

Dental

A PPO and a DHMO dental plan are offered through Delta Dental.

CIGNA Dental (PPO)

No annual deductible
Maximum of $2,000 per dependent each calendar year
In and Out-of-network coverage, based on percentage of reasonable & customary cost
Covered services are paid based on a percentage
- Preventive services -100%
- Basic services – 80%
- Major services 60%

CIGNA Dental (HMO)

No annual deductibles
No calendar year maximum
Pay only your copayment (if any) at the time of treatment
In-network coverage only – covered services must be provided by a Delta Care USA dentist (Rates are predetermined making cost predictable)
No claim forms, the predetermined cost is paid at the time of service

Vision

Cigna and Kaiser’s vision plans cover routine eye exams, eyeglasses and contact lenses.

Cigna Vision:

In and Out-of-network coverage
$25 Copayment for most in-network services
Maximum $200 allowance for - lenses, frames or contact lenses
Plan covers lenses, frames or contact lenses - every 12 months based on date of service

Kaiser Vision:

In-network coverage only
$25 Copayment for most in-network service
Maximum $200 allowance for lenses, frames or contact lenses
Plan covers lenses, frames or contact lenses every 12 months based on date of service

Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA)

The amount you elect to contribute is divided evenly over each pay period, July 1^st through June 30^th.

Health Care FSA:

Maximum contribution of $2,500 per year
Health Care FSA funds may be used for eligible healthcare expenses as defined by the IRS

Dependent Care FSA:

Maximum contribution - $5,000 per year
Dependent care FSA funds may be used for eligible daycare expenses for children up to age 13 and eligible daycare expenses for adults

Unused FSA funds are forfeited at the end of each Benefits Plan Year.

Employee Assistance Program (EAP)

Employee Assistance Program helps employees and their family members manage everyday life affecting them at work and at home.

Offers assistance and counseling in person or over the phone
Free 30-minute consultations with attorneys and financial counselors
Access to EAP is available anytime day or night with a convenient, confidential phone call

Short Term Disability (STD)

Provides a continuation of income when disabled due to a non-occupational injury, illness or condition impacting the employee’s ability to perform the essential functions of their job.

STD is offered to eligible employees at no cost
Eligible Represented employees are covered up to a maximum of 26 weeks following completion of 60 days of full time employment
- Benefits begin after a 14-day elimination period (consecutive days) and exhaustion of all sick leave
- The maximum STD benefit payable is determined by MARTA.
Eligible Non-represented employees are covered up to a maximum of 90-days following completion of 60 days of full time employment
- Benefits begin after a 7-day elimination period (consecutive days) and exhaustion of all long term sick leave
- The maximum STD benefit payable is determined by MARTA

Long Term Disability (LTD)

Provides a continuation of income when disabled due to an injury (occupation and non-occupation), illness or condition impacting the employee’s ability to perform the essential functions of their job. Must meet the definition of disability under the Plan.

Eligible non-represented employees who have completed 60 days of employment
Benefits begin after a 90-day elimination period (consecutive days)
Benefits are paid bi-weekly and cover 60% of base salary up to a maximum of $3,461.53
Offered to eligible employees at no cost

Life Insurance

Basic Life Insurance is provided to employees in the following amounts at no cost.

Represented Employee

Full-time - $40,000; Spouse - $2,000; Child - $1,000
Part-time- $10,000

Non-Represented Employee

Full-time - 1 time annual base salary to a maximum of $50,000
Part-time - $10,000

Supplemental Term Life insurance

Supplemental life insurance is available for employees and their eligible spouse and dependent children.

Employee and spouse coverage is based on an age.

Employee – 5 times annual base salary or maximum $750,000
Spouse insurance up to one-half of employee coverage up to $250,000
Child(ren) – up to $10,000

Retirement Plan

Retirement Plan available for eligible represented and non-represented employees.

Defined Contribution (DC) & Trust
- 20% vested after 1 year
- 60% vested after 2 years
- 100% vested after 3 years
Savings is based on pre-tax dollars
Contributions are payroll deductible
MARTA contributions of 6%

Make changes to investment elections easily and conveniently.

Voluntary Benefits

We offer access to a comprehensive Voluntary Benefits Program. The program allows access to certain services and the purchase of various goods through payroll deductions.
