Rail On-Time Performance

Definition: Measures how closely the service ran to schedule (delays no longer than 5 minutes), as experienced by the customer. Many factors affect on-time performance. Factors such as mechanical problems, or speed restrictions are within our control. Others like medical emergencies are not. Regardless of the cause, MARTA strives to work around problems, minimize delay, and maximize on-time performance.

Performance (May 2016 and Fiscal year-to-date):

In May, met the Target; the actual being 97.51%. 198 delays were passenger related, 130 delays were rail car related, 66 delays were due to power supply issues, and 46 delays were related to Automated Train Control (ATC) issues.
