MARTA TO DISPLAY WORK FROM BLACK ARTISTS TO COMMEMORATE BLACK HISTORY MONTH

ATLANTA – The Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority (MARTA) will feature art from Black artists at Lindbergh Center, Buckhead, and Mercedes-Benz/State Farm/GWCC/CNN Stations throughout February to commemorate Black History Month.

This content series is done in partnership with OUTFRONT Media as part of their new content platform ‘MOMENTS by OUTFRONT’ which brings new forms of engaging and curated content to transit environments and public spaces. “MOMENTS in Culture” produced in collaboration with online art marketplace ARTSY, spotlights artworks that celebrate joyful moments in Black culture by leading contemporary Black artists.

For this episode of MOMENTS in Culture, ARTSY selected works by four emerging Black artists: Derrick Adams, Dominic Chambers, Sola Olulode, and Kay Hickman, all of whose works portray different aspects of joy.

These artworks celebrating joyful moments in Black culture will be displayed across other transit systems nationwide, including in Boston, San Francisco, Santa Clara and Washington, D.C.
