MARTA TO HOST VIRTUAL MEETINGS FOR PROPOSED TRANSIT ENHANCEMENTS ALONG CLEVELAND AVENUE AND METROPOLITAN PARKWAY
Authority Seeks Public Input on Arterial Rapid Transit (ART) Projects
ATLANTA – The Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority (MARTA) will host two virtual meetings to provide updates and seek public input on proposed transit enhancements along Cleveland Avenue and Metropolitan Parkway. The online community meetings are scheduled for Wednesday, Nov. 18 at 6:30 p.m. and Friday, Nov. 20 at 10:30 a.m.
“We’re excited to discuss these improvements with MARTA. Transit is vital to the growth of District 12,” said Atlanta City Council Member Joyce M. Sheperd. “We encourage our residents and local businesses to join the conversation during these virtual meetings. Let your voice be heard as transit in our area continues to grow and help our community travel quickly and safely to the places that are important to you.”
During the meetings, participants will hear from City of Atlanta and MARTA officials about the project background, proposed enhancements and how they will affect residents who work and live in the area. Participants may submit questions and provide comments during the meetings.
