MARTA will implement service changes on the following bus routes on Saturday, December 5, 2009, to improve schedule reliability and connectivity for customers.
Click on the bus route numbers listed below to review the new schedules that will go into effect on December 5th.

1 – Marietta Boulevard/Centennial Olympic Park

Service along Spring Street and Ivan Allen, Jr. Blvd. outbound from Georgia State Station has been discontinued. Instead, Route 1 will operate via Marietta Street to Howell Mill Road. Additionally, arrival and departure times have been adjusted to improve on-time performance.

6 – Emory

Arrival and departure times have been adjusted to improve on-time performance.

15 – Candler Road/South DeKalb
|
Weekday, Saturday & Sunday
|
Arrival and departure times after 7:00 PM have been adjusted to improve on-time performance.

16 – Noble

|
Arrival and departure times have been adjusted to improve on-time performance. Additionally, the Saturday and Sunday service frequencies have been changed from every 40 minutes to every 45 minutes.

19 – Clairmont Road

Weekday, Saturday & Sunday
|
Service along Drew Valley Road and Thompson Road has been discontinued. Service along Skyland Drive will now be served by Route 139-Lenox/Chamblee. Service to Century Center will now be served by Route 70-Briarwood/Century Center. Route 19 will operate via Clairmont Road, Dresden Drive, Peachtree Road and North Druid Hills Road terminating at Brookhaven Station.

26 – Perry Blvd./West Highlands

Saturday & Sunday
|
The 12:45 PM trip departing Bankhead Station will now operate via Johnson Road and Carver Hills.

30 – LaVista Road

33 – Briarcliff Road

Arrival and departure times have been adjusted to improve on-time performance.

44 – West Wesley Road
|
Weekday
|
Service along West Wesley Road will only be provided with selective trips that operate to Marietta Boulevard. Service along Howell Mill Road between West Wesley Road and Moores Mill Road will be discontinued. Route 44 will operate the current routing from Lindbergh Station to Northside Drive then continue on Northside Drive past North Atlanta High School operating a one way loop via West Paces Ferry Road, Northside Parkway and Moores Mill Road returning to Northside Drive. Selective trips to North Atlanta High School will continue to be provided. Route 44-West Wesley will be renamed Route 44-Northside Drive.

55 – Cleveland Ave./Lakewood Heights

The re-route via Weyman Avenue, Ridge Avenue, Pryor Street and University Avenue has been made permanent. Additionally, a 3:25 PM trip departing Jonesboro Road at Claire Drive (Carver High School) has been added on school days only to eliminate overcrowding. Trip times have been adjusted to improve on-time performance.

60 – Hightower/Moores Mill

Route 60 service frequency has been adjusted from every 30 to 25 minutes to accommodate ridership demands. Additionally, the arrival and departure times have been adjusted to improve on-time performance.

70 – Chamblee
|
Weekday, Saturday & Sunday
|
Service along Buford Highway, Clairmont Road, selective trips to North DeKalb Health Center and New Peachtree Road to Chamblee Station will now be provided by Route 139. Route 70 will now provide service between Brookhaven Station and Century Center currently operated by Route 19 and along Briarwood Road and I-85 Access Roads currently operated by Route 139. Route 70-Chamblee will be renamed Route 70-Briarwood/Century Center and operate a 45 minute service frequency all service days.

110 – Peachtree Street – “The Peach”

Route 110 service has been modified to operate alternating trips between Lenox Station and Five Points and Lenox Station and Arts Center Station (short-turn) from the start of service until 9:00 PM. After 9:00 PM, until the end of service, all trips will operate between Lenox Station and Five Points. Arrival and departure times have been adjusted to accommodate the schedule revision. Saturday and Sunday schedules remain unchanged with all trips operating between Lenox Station and Five Points.

139 – Lenox/Plaza Fiesta

|
Route 139 will now provide service from Lenox Station to Chamblee Station via Buford Highway, Clairmont Road and New Peachtree Road with selective trips to the North DeKalb Health Center currently operated by Route 70. Additionally, Route 139 will provide service to the Skyland Road segment currently operated by Route 19. Route 139-Lenox/Plaza Fiesta will be renamed Route 139-Lenox/Chamblee and operate a 40 minute service frequency all service days.

153 – H.E. Holmes/Browntown

Weekday, Saturday & Sunday
|
Route 153 service frequency has been changed from every 45 minutes to every 50 minutes to improve on-time performance.
|
178 – Cleveland Ave./Southside Industrial Park
|
Saturday & Sunday
|
Arrival and departure times have been adjusted to improve on-time performance.
|
185 – Alpharetta/Holcomb Bridge Road
|
Weekday
|
The 5:25 AM trip departing North Springs Station has been adjusted to depart at 5:35 AM to accommodate rail to bus transfers.
|
In addition, the following routes will receive minor trip adjustments. Please review the timetables carefully to determine if the adjustments impact your specific trip.
